About the Author

Hazel Castro

This myth was created by a passionate individual who aspires to become an English teacher, with a focus on helping high school newcomers. Having immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 without knowing English, the author understands the challenges of adapting to a new language, culture, and environment. With this personal experience in mind, the author aims to teach students not only the English language but also how to embrace their new world and take pride in knowing two languages. I hope to inspire students to feel confident and empowered in their journey of cultural and linguistic discovery.
